We are in a war. An epic war. A World War. It began in the Heavenlies and it manifested itself in a Garden. What began in the heavenlies must be fought in the heavenlies and it will be won in the heavenlies. The Roar to war booms and boils inside of me. My whole being cries out, “I wil fight! I will pick up my sword and I will cut down the strongholds of the princes of the air. No longer to stand on the sidelines, for there is no sidelines. (Tip: Nor is there a ‘fence’.) It’s a call to war and Jesus says, “you are either for me or against me.” Period!

Wake up sleeping Church! (or; who has bewitched you?)
Put on your armour!
-And fight!!
Fight! Fight! Fight!
For the War rages in the Heavenlies and the dead and wounded are manifested here!

But the King of Glory leads us! The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle! And He has made us more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.

Now raise your sword and shout, “For the Lord and for His Kingdom!”

Send forth, sing and shout the glorious praises of the Most High God; for He is worthy to be praised.

I know you are looking for all the answers. I see you searching in hidden, empty places. Look no more – see, behold, the Glory of the Most High.
If you look you will see that I Am the Answer.

Come closer. Closer. I will give you eyes to see, for I cause blind eyes to be opened.

Stop running, but to run into my arms.

Run, Run. Run into my arms of love.
Stay.
Rest.
I will make you whole. I will give you peace and fill you with joy; if you rest in me.
Rest.

Luke 6:22-23 What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man. 23 When that happens, be happy! Yes, leap for joy! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, their ancestors treated the ancient prophets that same way.

Luke 11:14-23
14Now Jesus was driving out a demon that was dumb; and it occurred that when the demon had gone out, the dumb man spoke. And the crowds marveled.
15But some of them said, He drives out demons [because He is in league with and] by Beelzebub, the prince of demons,
16While others, to try and test and tempt Him, demanded a sign of Him from heaven.
17But He, [well] aware of their intent and purpose, said to them, Every kingdom split up against itself is doomed and brought to desolation, and so house falls upon house. [The disunited household will collapse.]
18And if Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom last? For you say that I expel demons with the help of and by Beelzebub.
19Now if I expel demons with the help of and by Beelzebub, with whose help and by whom do your sons drive them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.
20But if I drive out the demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has [already] come upon you.
21When the strong man, fully armed, [[k]from his courtyard] guards his own dwelling, his belongings are undisturbed [his property is at peace and is secure].
22But when one stronger than he attacks him and conquers him, he robs him of his whole armor on which he had relied and divides up and distributes all his goods as plunder (spoil).
23He who is not with Me [siding and believing with Me] is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me [engage in My interest], scatters.

Acts 5:38-39
38Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. 39But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.”

Glory, Glory, Glory.
Glory in the highest
For my mouth is now a mouthpiece; a vessel to deliver, to bring, to carry the anointing to the nations, to a people lost and lonely.
Open up O mouth and sing. Open up O mouth and shout the greatness of your King.
Declare this mighty power. Spread forth His mighty deeds. For He is well able to deliver you from the snare, the fowler and bring you into His Glory, the high places of His Kingdom.
Shout and sing. Shout out the greatness of God.
Grow not weary but arise and shine.
Sing, Sing, Sing.

Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort, of feeling safe with a person; having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but to pour them all out just as they are, chaff and grain together, knowing that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then, with the breath of kindness, blow the rest away.
George Eliot

Several months ago I felt lead to go to The Market and to bring along a certain friend. So, I called her and she agreed to join Steve and me. I had no idea what to expect and we went completely open to the leading of the Spirit…fun!!!

It was a cold night and we’d decided to get a hot drink before we started walking around. Steve found a parking spot in the middle of the Market. We headed for Starbucks and immediately saw a guy in a wheelchair.
No beating around the bush here.
I laughed nervously, not sure what to do. We walked past and immediately saw another guy. He was playing his guitar, the case left open for donations. We walked past. It was cold and we hurried. Then, my friend says, “Why don’t we ask him if he wants a coffee?”
Yes! I knew instantly that that was it! “Let’s ask them both,” I said.
So, shivering we turned back.

With two orders we made our way to Starbucks. Then we saw another guy. He was sitting outside Chapters doors and as we approached he turned to look at us. We stopped and chatted. He said that he wrote and sold his poetry. He recited a couple and they were good! We told him that and he invited us to purchase. There was a base price plus whatever we felt the work was worth. Earlier, I’d asked him for his favourite and we bought that plus another poem. We took his coffee order and left him scribbling poems on ripped up cardboard with a big black marker.

Here is his favourite:

                                                             A Panners’ Perspective

Just walk on by me, not hearing what I said,
Just totally ignore me; I might as well be dead,
I could sit here all day well in to the dark of night,
It doesn’t mean you’ll see me; you don’t have the insight,
I don’t have a job, or any where to live,
I try not to be obnoxious and say thank you when people give,
I really don’t want to be here, begging in this way,
So a kind act or word, could really make my day,
Not all of us are drunkards or addicts or insane in the head,
But I made this bed I lay in, that’s all that needs to be said.

Crazzy Dave

I hardly know how to introduce this except to say that every time I wanted to start my blog, my mind went blank because I tried to avoid writing the following, but there’s no way around it. So, here it is…my heart poured out.

For a life worth living there’s got to be sacrifice. I don’t want to play church, I refuse. I am the church and with all my heart I long to be what He’s calling us to be; alive, vibrant, intimate with Him, powerful, walking in the miraculous. I don’t want the scripture…having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof, to ever be applied to my life. I long to see us, His people expecting His Possible in every ‘impossible’ situation; no matter the bumps and bruises of past experience.

For a long time I’ve grieved for what was lost, abandoned. The River that flowed. I allowed this to drain joy from my life. Even though I tried to ignore my feelings and to push down thoughts, my frustration, bitterness, sense of betrayal and anger grew. I had to be honest with myself; why was I frequently angry? It was difficult to be honest and face how I felt about this situation and my over dependence on a ‘Body’, an institution, instead of wholly on Him.

It’s easy to point the finger but that’s a victims game. I am more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus. I will keep my eyes on Jesus and not on man. I alone am responsible for my relationship with Him and our depths and heights of intimacy. If I long for His Spirit then I will go after Him on my own time. I’ll sacrifice, I’ll make the time to quench my thirst. I knew that and yet I found myself trudging along, grumbling about how it wasn’t like it used to be but at the same time not being vigilant about my own time of ’soaking’ at home.

Several weeks ago, This scripture really brought it home for me and convicted me; Jeremiah 17:7-8 But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and has made the Lord his hope and confidence. He is like a tree planted along a riverbank, with its roots reaching deep into the water-a tree not bothered by the heat nor worried by long months of drought. Its leaves stay green and it goes right on producing all its luscious fruit.

I want to be like that tree. Not only does it stay alive and vibrant, it actually produces luscious fruit.

I still look back and sigh for what was, I’m still disappointed with current circumstances and there’s days that I still neglect my own pursuit of Him…I’m still working out the process, learning. But I also look forward with joy, no matter the desert that I traverse. And in this desert I’ve grown, matured. I’m experiencing freedom; especially from fear of man and from a dependence and pride of ‘where my church is at.’ I no longer try to conform to a certain mold. I don’t have to worry about what ‘they’ might think because I live to please and honour Him; my Everything, my All. I want to truly be me and not shrink back from who I am and who He made me to be. I know that the Lord is in control and He is always up to something good. Just writing that makes me excited.

So, I am expecting…Yes, literally. Our baby Violette will soon be born. And spiritually, with all my heart I’m expectant for His River; flowing without constraint, in me, my family, my church…

I long for soo much more. For me, especially for my children, for us all. I’m not content with just the routine of Sunday. I want the life-bursting, manifest presence of the Most High God to be supernaturally natural in my life and in my church. He’s so spectacularly amazing, wonderful, kind and good, longing to show Himself strong for us if only we would trust and believe. How I long for the World (and most of the Church world) to see this about Him-in us, in me! I hardly know how to express this with words.

So many Christians don’t even know how deep and wide and long and high is His love for us. And that because of that love He longs to do above and beyond all that we could ever ask, hope or think. If Christians don’t know or believe how will the world ever know? The world needs to see a Strong God, full of love and compassion and Power!!!! I don’t want to use the word magical, our society is super-saturated with magic, but He IS the ultimate Supernatural One…Do you know what I mean? My desire is for Him to be exalted and revealed as The Faithful and Miraculous Supplier of all our needs and our hearts desires. After all, He delights in blessing us, surprising us – he’s the lover of our soul. The greatest Lover of all time.

Happy early Valentines Day.
